This post is sponsored but as always, the opinions are all my own

This past year there have been so many changes in our household. The kids have been back in-person for learning, they have their hockey schedules which means that I’m on chauffeuring duty, and I’ve been busy with my work here on This Mama Needs a Vacay. With everyone being back and busy again, we’ve really needed a system that would help with keeping everyone on track, and to pitch in for household chores. My parenting philosophy is that the kids need to do daily tasks and chores around the house. It teaches them so many life lessons, even though my vocal cords may not always be happy about reminding them to get it all done. This is why I’m so happy we signed up for Mydoh last fall, and are approaching  one year of using the app.

What is Mydoh?

Mydoh is a money management app and reliable Smart Cash Card for kids and teens that comes with complete parental oversight. That’s right, parents! We still get to guide our kids as they learn to manage their money, but without the nagging! Ok, fine, we’ll just find something else to nag about.

What we love about Mydoh:

Where do I start? I think my favourite part about Mydoh is that I can login and assign age-appropriate chores and tasks to my kids. I love that instead of having to ask them 10 times if they’ve emptied the dishwasher, I can check the app to track the completion of their tasks. When the kids are done with their tasks, they can log into their app easily to mark off the task that  has been completed.

My kids will probably tell you that their favourite part of Mydoh is using the Smart Cash Card. I can add the amount they’ve earned to their cards when they complete their tasks. The kids get to learn more about financial literacy and responsibility using their Smart Cash Card and how   they choose to spend their funds. Remember when I said you have complete parental oversight? I can see where and how kids spend their funds using their Smart Cash Card. So you can see if they spend it all on an extra large cold drink at their favourite coffee shop or if they are saving it for a bigger goal (like maybe a special birthday gift for their favourite person – Mom!)
